The Plow The first steel plow was invented by John Deere in Detour, Illinois in 1836.

Seed Drill Perfected by Jethro Tull from England in 1701, the seed drill became common on the plains of the United States and allowed to plant several seeds at one time

Mechanical Reaper A machine that cuts and gathers crops that are ripe

Threshing Machine A machine that separates the grain from the stalk. Invented by Andrew Meikle from Scotland
