Before we read…  Thinking about our learning goal… I can draw evidence from literary and informational texts to support analysis (as related to writing an analysis of Hamlet )

Before we read…  Think of examples of “revenge”  Movies (hint: we watched a film clip)  Books (hint: boy wizard)  Plays (hint: freshman year)  TV (hint: Revenge)  Current events (hint: a month ago in MO)  History (Biblical/war/politics)  Other???  Write down 2-3 examples

Before we read…  Rewrite the sentence below and fill in the blank: I believe it ______ (is, is not) appropriate for individuals, such as those found in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, to seek revenge when one is wronged?

Let’s Annotate Write the prompt at top of paper  Is it appropriate for individuals, such as those found in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, to seek revenge when one is wronged? Write an argument to support your claim; use valid reasoning and relevant, sufficient evidence from the sources listed below to support your claim.
