Questions to consider: After watching some of the video from the hit TV show “Gold Rush Alaska” answer the following questions. –List some of the negative environmental impacts caused by the mining. –List some of the positive environmental impacts caused by the mining. –Approximate how much “air time” was given to the environmental restoration of the mining sites. –Approximate how much “air time” was given to the environmental destruction of the mining sites.

Create a photo timeline to show how gold is extracted. –Include extraction, filtering, processing, end product, financial reward and environmental restoration of a gold mine. –Use more than one slide for this. What is the world’s largest gold company? How much gold is produced each year? How much money is made from gold production?
