Classified Temporary 180 Days Extension Overview – A personnel requisition is used for classified temporary 180 Days extension requests. Please indicate the category as “Temporary” and the job group as “Classified” then select the position or indicate the position in the “Position Title Not Listed” field for positions not listed. Ensure to indicate “New”. State the candidate’s name and PID number and the reason for the extension in the Remarks section. If this is for a classified temporary special education position, please notate this information in the Remarks section. If this is for a classified temporary special education request, use the 180 day extension task type to complete the full school year and a vacancy replacement personnel requisition will not be needed. In addition, a new feature is available for supervisors to be part of the Personnel requisition and reduction form approval process. This feature is only available for individuals who have been selected by Directors/Budget Holders. Helpful Hints Ensure to indicate candidate’s name, PID number and reason for extension under the “Remarks” section. Supervisor approval and recommendation for hire is only available for Directors/Budget Holders who have requested a supervisor to be included on the supervisor approval/ recommend for hire steps.
