Amelia Earhart By Lizzie

Introduction Amelia Earhart was born July 24, 1897.She was born in the small town of Atchison , Kansas. She is famous for being the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic.

Family and Childhood Amelia had a younger sister named Muriel. Muriel was 3 years younger than Amelia .She moved to many places as a child. Amelia and her sister spent the summers at there grandparents house.Her dreams were to do exciting things when she grew up.

Adult Years Amelia went to elementary school all the way to high school but ,she did not go to collage. In 1931 Amelia married George Putnam. She did not have any children, though. Amelia loved flying air planes high up in the air. She did a lot of important things in her adult life ,like flying across the Atlantic ocean a couple of times and getting married.

Major Accomplishments Amelia Earhart is remembered for being the first to fly solo across the Atlantic ocean and of course for being brave,too! Amelia has helped us all prove that dreams can come true!

Three interesting facts about Amelia Earhart On Amelia’s 25 birthday she became a proud owner of an airplane, which she nicknamed it The Canary and painted it yellow. 2.In 1921 when she was 23 Amelia had her first flying lesson. 3. In 1923 she receives her pilot’s license, she was only the sixteenth woman in the world to have one.

Final years Amelia Earhart is no longer living. Amelia died on her last flight around the equator because the airplane ran out of fuel.So then Amelia Earhart died on July 3 , 1932.
