16 August 2004 The “Ohm” Song How to remember Ohm’s Law and what it all really means

“Ohm” Song – Verse One Oh give me a name that will mean just the same As “The voltage we need for each Amp” So then I could say in a short useful way The resistance of my reading lamp

“Ohm” Song – Chorus “Ohm”, “Ohm” sounds quite strange It’s the name of someone now dead But “Volts for each Amp”, for resistor or lamp Is hard, so we say “Ohm” instead

“Ohm” Song – Verse Two Time costs we are told, so to save time and gold We write symbols, not words on each line We have used “A” to “Z” so we went Greek instead And it seems that  (omega) is fine.

“Ohm” Song – Chorus “Ohm”, “Ohm” sounds quite strange It’s the name of someone now dead But “Volts for each Amp”, for resistor or lamp Is hard, so we say “Ohm” instead

“Ohm” Song Chorus – Last Time “Ohm”, “Ohm” sounds quite strange It’s the name of someone now dead But “Volts for each Amp”, for resistor or lamp Is hard, so we say “Ohm” instead
