 Colombia is Caribbean South America’s most populous country.  Most Colombians live in fertile valleys and basins among the mountain ranges because those areas are moderate in climate and good for farming.

 The population rate in Colombia is much higher than USA, however the life expectancy is much less than USA as well as the literacy rate.  Few people live in the tropical rain forest regions in the south.

 The main exports in Colombia are coffee, bananas corn, rice, sugarcane, and Cassava and cocaine.  Colombia cuts and exports flowers around the world more than any country but Netherlands.

 Now-a-days oil is another major export, as well iron, ore, gold, coal, tin and emeralds  Even though they have all these resources they still have very low incomes.  Urban Poverty and rapid population growth remains a challenge in Colombia.

 Colombians are known for the area they live in because the physical location is isolated and different from the nearby countries.  Africans traditions have influenced their songs and dances.

 Colombians enjoy playing soccer probably because the influence from Spain.  There have been many border conflicts with Venezuela which has forced farmers to leave their land, and the economy has been damaged as a result as well
