Associative Property of Addition Says that you can switch the grouping (parenthesis) and get the same sum. Ex: ( ) + 1 = 6 + (7 + 1)
Associative Property of Multiplication Says that you can switch the grouping and get the same product Ex: ( 6 x 9) x 5 = 6 x (9 x 5)
Identity Property of addition and subtractions Says that when you add or subtract a 0, you get the same number. Ex: = 6 Ex: 8 – 0 = 8
Identity Property of Multiplication Says that when you multiply any number by 1, you get the same number. Ex: 8 x 1 = 8 Ex: 500 x 1 = 500
Zero Property of Multiplication Says that when you multiply any number by 0, the product is 0. Ex: 4 x 0 = 0 1,000 x 0 = 0
