Presentation transcript:

The bull shark is unique among all other sharks in where it is able to live. Unlike all other sharks it is able to live in both salt water and fresh water. This is a trait that makes it especially dangerous toward humans. It lives in shallow water areas and in rivers where humans normally go. It is responsible for the 1916 shark attacks that the movie Jaws is based on.

The Bull shark has many adaptations that make it a great hunter. It can regenerate its teeth if it loses one while hunting, which then allows it to live longer because if its teeth didn’t regenerate then they would die because they were unable to hunt.

It is the common misconception that sharks never get cancer. While that is false, they are very resistant to cancer. The Bull shark is also very resistant to cancer and it lives in places that are very different than other sharks so it may be more likely to get cancer. Sharks are resistant to cancer because of their cartilage. The Cartilage will stop the growth of new blood vessels around the tumor which stops the growth of the tumor.

Conclusion The bull shark is an extremely dangerous shark that can help humans so much if we just learn more about them. If we take the cartilage from the shark and we inject it into an area that surrounded a tumor then new blood vessels might stop forming and the tumor could be more easily fought.
