Using repeated and rephrased key ideas Your key ideas should be present throughout your speech or essay. Refer to them constantly. You should offer a wide variety of ways of expressing these ideas.

Using pronouns and determiners Use them to refer back to previous ideas.

Use transition expressions Not only transition expressions but also transition sentences to link two paragraphs.
