Characteristics Caribou have small ears but they can hear really well.The weight of a caribou is pounds.Caribou are 4-5 feet to the shoulders.Caribou has claws like dogs.

Habitat The caribou life in the tundra.the Barren Ground caribou lives in the northern forests and migrates to the tundra. The caribou are found in the Alaska and the Yukon.A lot of Caribou live in north Canada.

Food The caribou love to eat lichen because that’s their main food. The caribou have a hard time getting food in the winter. Caribou love to eat sedges.caribou love to eat willows.

Wolfs like to attack migrating herds. Coyotes attack caribou however, only rarely.A wolf pack chase caribou and surrounds them.Eagles like to attack young calves.The Inuit hunt caribou.

Caribou have one calf a year.The babies are born with there eyes open.The caribou run soon after birth. Calves are born with warm fur.
