ITU-T Q.9/12/13 Activities Ethernet-focused specifications –Q.9/11/12: Ethernet related work Q.9 – Equipment Functions and Protection Q.11 – Interfaces, incl. GFP/LCAS specs –Q.12: Ethernet architecture and services G.8010, G , 2, 3 –Q.12 also plans G.8080 (ASON) revision –several specifications planned for consent in 2/06 –meetings planned for fall 2005
OIF Activities Completed Ethernet-focused Interop Demo in June (Supercomm) Liaison to this meeting on results Current work: –completion of UNI 2.0 (includes Ethernet, call/connection, dual homing, modification) –initiation of E-NNI 2.0 project –continuation of work on routing and interoperability
OIF Ethernet Interest 2005 Demo –focused on control plane setup of Ethernet/SDH private lines, using VCAT/LCAS –raised some issues on TSpec (see Liaison) UNI 2.0 –also discusses control plane setup of Ethernet virtual services –waiting on CCAMP activities for l2sc for more detail
OIF Liaison RSVP issues –NCC/RCC usage for STS-3c/VC-4 –NVC usage for single VCAT connection –ResvConf object in refreshes –symmetry assumptions for refresh reduction –other minor issues Ethernet-related issue –TSpec for Ethernet LSPs –correspondence between IETF Intserv and MEF/ITU definitions for Ethernet attributes
