The Cinema Crypt New Media Practicum Proposal

What is it? The Cinema Crypt is practically a virtual video store where you are able to pick movies from a certain topic/genre. Remember walking into a video store and seeing the staff picks. I gained appreciation for film.

What I want to do I want to give many film lovers and also film movies a deeper understanding of film. Pick a new release and find the genre or topic of it. Make a shelf of movies that relate it to Try to use CLassic, Modern and Obscure Movies to have a interesting list Make Reviews, Have Trailers, and Rating, and Production Facts.

Comps IMDB Podcast: The Top 10

Audience I want to cater to people who are interested in film, but aren't a film snob. Want to make films that people wouldn’t know about accessible.

Goals Educate about films Make other people gain an appreciation of many genres of film.

Challenges Trying to have people access the site Time Management

Time Mangement Feb 2: Proposal Feb 9: Acquire Domain and start hosting the website. Start finding upcoming films and planning ahead for the first critique. Make a Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to start promoting. Feb 16th: Finish designing the website and Template. Start reviews ASAP. Feb 23rd: Have the first week finished and start the 2nd week of the project Mar 1: Critique: Should be able to have two weeks down and start the phone. Mar 8: Apply feedback from critique, start fixing everything. Mar 15: add another week Mar 22: Critique and apply feedback Mar 29: Should Have 8 weeks and almost 40 reviews April 5: Critique: apply feedback and show changes and have at least 45 reviews April 12: have 10 weeks of reviews and start asking for some other collaborations, make Top Ten Lists and work hard on social media. Work on Promotion video. April 19th:11 weeks and reviews and Work on Promotio n video.
