How do the arts and education contribute to a fairer, more prosperous Wales? #sharingstories15

What do we want out of life?

“The Welsh Government wants Wales to be fair, prosperous and confident, improving the quality of life for everyone. But this means deciding what kind of society we want and how far we’re prepared to go to achieve it, If we want to live in a society that is vibrant, creative, dynamic, tolerant, nurturing, enriching, then we’re going to have to take the action needed to make this a more rather than less likely outcome.” What kind of Wales do we want?

“We continue to argue for the centrality of the arts in all of the above and we will continue to stress that the public investment in the arts if a profound signal of how the distinctive needs and nature of 21 st Century Wales is understood and nurtured” What kind of Wales do we want?

Meaningful activity Mental and physical stimulation Connect people Widen horizons Reflect, critique & challenge Stronger together

Self worth Confidence Tolerance New skills, experiences & opportunities Health & wellbeing What do we achieve?

Are we contributing to….?
