Did you register for your textbook???? Need another copy of the instruction sheet????

Our Goals for YOU Pass the EOC/STAAR test with Level III/ Commended rating Develop a love and curiosity for biology because biology is amazing!! AND……….for you to want to come back and join AP Biology your junior or senior year because I want you back in my class!

Salsa Lab Complete it on your own and save it for your science journal/composition book when we get them. A good way to do this experiment is to have everyone take their temperature before starting the experiment. Then, have half the class eat a chip with an exact amount of salsa on it every two minutes and record their body temperature without drinking any water immediately after eating. The other half of the class would not have any chips and salsa (or water) but would record their body temperatures every two minutes also. This procedure would continue for a minimum of 15 minutes. This would give us enough trials (# of individuals) and enough data. We could complete a line graph then, graphing time on the “x” axis and body temperature on the “y” axis. Using dotted lines for the average percent change in temperature for the eaters and a solid line for the non-eaters.

Scientific Method Power Point and notes (for classes that did not finish yesterday) Power Point fill in the blank The power point is on the class website in case you need to go back and refer to it.

Analyzing and Interpreting Scientific Data handout is HWork This is the sheet you picked up at the door Thurs This sheet goes in your Science Journals/Composition Notebooks when they arrive.

EcoRegion Project You will be assigned to a group of 3-4 to create a Google Doc Presentation over your assigned ecoregion. We will work on these presentations in class each day this week after we complete the discussion questions and reminders. You and your partners also need to work on the project at home. You can all access the project once it has been shared with all group members from any computer with internet. You can even work at the same time. *You will anonymously evaluate your partners! Login is last name.first Password is First Initial, Last initial and 6 digit bday.
