Lesson 4.2 Checking Account Simulation Month: January

Helpful Hints Remember to fill out the check register before you write the check Normally use a pen, for our simulation you may use a pencil You are require to write checks, make deposits and reconcile for the first two months-January and February. Do not begin a new month before reconciling the previous month– information carries over from month to month, just as it does in a real checking account

Instructions Read instructions on page one as I read aloud Review instructions and worksheet for endorsements – Blank – Restrictive – Full Check point: : after you write out check #108 (balance of $350.24)

Closure What is the balance at the end of the month? What is a service charge? Is there a service charge? How much? What do you have to do with the service charge?
