Making Choices, Solving Problems
Hello Year 1 children. My name is Raphael. I am going to tell you about some of the choices I have made so far today! Every day you make choices of your own!
This morning, when my mum called me to wake up, I had to choose whether to snooze or whether to jump out of bed straight away.
Next I had to choose what to wear.
When I came downstairs, I had to make a choice about what to have for my breakfast.
Next I had to choose what to drink.
Then I had to choose how to get to school.
When I got to school I chose to listen to my teacher so I could learn something new. That was a good choice!
I chose to get on with my work quietly. That was a good choice!
At playtime, I had to choose who to play with. I know who I get on well with so I play with them.
Every day we need to make choices. Sometimes it’s tricky. We need to learn how to Make the RIGHT choices so that : We can learn We can have fun Other people can learn and be happy too
I know it’s up to ME to make the right choices. I can do this by THINKING HARD before I do something and listening to my family, my teacher and other adults I know.
