Chinese Paper Cutting ? (Oldest, Red Color, Symbolism) Chinese Paper Cutting (Chinese: 剪纸, jiǎn zhǐ) is the first type of paper cutting design, since paper was invented by Cai Lun in the Eastern Han Dynasty in China. The art form later spread to other parts of the world with different regions adopting their own cultural styles. There are a number of distinct uses for the paper cut outs in Chinese culture, almost all of which are for health, prosperity or decorative purposes. Original Chinese paper cutting only use “Knife”& “Scissor”.
