The combined use of IgM and IgG (commercially available as PanBio Dengue Duo ELISA) (sensitivity, 99%; specificity, 96%) was superior to the use of IgM alone (sensitivity, 88%; specificity, 96%) or IgG alone (sensitivity, 85%; specificity, 96%). This ELISA should prove to be useful in the clinical diagnosis of dengue infection.

IgM ELISA Dengue Bulletin 2003 Volume 27 Chapter 16 “Serological Diagnosis of Dengue Fever with IgM Detection” Department of Clinical Virology, Christian Medical College, Vellore , India

The NIV MAC-ELISA showed a high sensitivity (96%) as compared to PanBio Rapid (73%) and PanBio IgM ELISA (72%). But the specificity was low (81%) when compared to PanBio Rapid (95%) and PanBio IgM ELISA (97%) using the latent class analysis model.
