Laura Ingalls Wilder Award Honors an Author or Illustrator whose books published in the US have made, over a period of years, a substantial and lasting contribution to literature for children.

Tomas Rivera Mexican American Children’s Book Award This Award honors authors and illustrators who create literature that depicts the Mexican American Experience.

Caldecott Award Given annually to the Illustrator of the most distinguished American picture book published in the previous year.

Pura Belpre’ Award This award is presented to the Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays the Latino culture experience in literature.

Schneider Award Honors an Author or Illustrators for a book that embodies an artistic expression of the disability experience.
