We Are…Marshall The 2006 Film, We Are…Marshall, depicts the story of the 1971 Marshall Football team who had to replace the entire program after a tragic plane crash in 1970 killed everyone on board. The plane, returning from a game, had on it the entire team and many prominent members of the Marshall Community.
