Biography Maxwell Spencer Dupain is a well known photographer through out the world. Max Dupain was born on the the 4 th of April 1911 and sadly past away on July 27 th Max Dupain live in Ashfield Sydney. In 1924 he received his first camera which spurred a interest photography. Max Dupain was inspired by many things one of them was the beach in fact one of his most famous is the sun baker which is an man on a beach this was the photography that he gain the most recognition for. The sunbaker was bought by the national gallery of Australia in 1970 this is when he gained world wide recognition. Max Dupain uses a black and white style for his photographs. His photographs consist of people, place and objects. In 1982 Dupain was hounered with a order of a brittish empire and in 1983 he was awarded a life membership with the royal Australian institute of architects.

The sunbaker (1937) Tone is represented in this photograph by having a dark shadow on the body and light tone in the background. Texture in the photo is shown by the water droplets on the persons body. The shape is presented by the perseption of the mans body. I chose this image because of the simplicity in the photo. The man is sun baking on a beach.

The jetty (1937) The tone is shown in the shadows along the pier and the lightness on the girl and the pier to show the sun. The form is shown by the shadows which make the photo seem a 3D Line shows the distance in the photo as it shows on the pier I selected this image because I liked the lighting and contrast. In the photo the is people on a pier with a lightness on one side.

Olive cotton (1930) The form is shown by the shadows in the image which shows a 3D effect. The texture of the sand shows a soft powder look. The tone is black and white and shows a dark contrast. I selected this photo because of the texture it presents in the sand. In this photo the is a girl sitting on a beach.
