Goals.. None specific to begin with, only had in mind my interest in cultures. Soon to realize the importance of the projects subject, the Bedouin. Global awareness, the vanishing of traditional cultures.

The Project.. Three Different Products- The Music: – The Oud and the Rabab – Research on genres The Research Essay: – Research on aspects of the desert nomads life The Tent: – Accurate to design and tradition – Expose the audience to how these people lived – Museum exhibit-like display, Bedouin culture visually embedded into the product

The Process..

Challenges and Discoveries Find a fabric that matched goat’s hair characteristics Sewing the fabrics together Becoming familiar with the music Discovered further interest in history and cultures, and a desire to continue research through anthropological studies. Discovered how difficult it was to link three products together in order to complete the installation.

Skills and Knowledge Acquired Understanding the importance of further research on the disappearing traditional cultures of the world. Acquired the skill to stick to strict deadlines and dedicate myself to a topic. Acquired the ability to sew, through which I learned patience. Time Management
