AIMS. Revise the characteristics of popular recreation activities. Analyse the activities on waterfront towns at this time, particularly bathing and rowing. Analyse the influence of pre-industrial wakes. Analyse the characteristics of pedestrianism.

PRE-INDUSTRIAL POP REC ACTIVITIES REFLECTED SOCIETY IN WHICH IT EXISTED THEY WERE COLOURFUL, LIVELY AND SUPPORTED BY STRICT CLASS SYSTEM DIFFERENT CLASSES SOMETIMES SHARED THE SAME ACTIVITE. Eg Cock Fighting. SOMETIMES HAD DIFFERENT ACTIVITES. Eg Mob football for the peasants, real tennis for the aristocracy SOMETIMES HAD DIFFERENT ROLES WITHIN SAME ACTIVITY.
