CLASS RESEARCH Each group will be given a step in the Scientific Method to research. You will be come an expert on that part of the SM, and then teach what you know to the class! As each group presents, we will write down the important information in the foldable!
PURPOSE Determine your problem or ask your question of interest
RESEARCH Find information about your topic using encyclopedias, textbooks, and Internet
HYPOTHESIS Think of a possible answer to your question based on observation & research (“If…, then….”)
EXPERIMENTATION Test your hypothesis. Design an experiment that will show if a factor causes an outcome./
DATA Collect data during experiment. Keep clear records and use tables and graphs to display data when appropriate.
CONCLUSION Draw a conclusion to determine whether the data supports your hypothesis. (Communicate)
