Executive Summary Business Problem The version of VDS and ICS SPE has been marked for end of life Sustaining support is the only option available Concerns exist on the stability and reliability of the current version of ICS ICS manages data synchronizations between systems With additional systems being on-boarded for data synchronization, current architecture will not be able to manage the increases in load Load issues had significant impact in the past – ICS suffered major outages between December 2011 – June 2012, requiring manual synchronizations during this time The latest version has improved support for monitoring and failover The upgrade is also required for the Siteminder High Availability project 2

Proposed Solution In Scope -Upgrade Radiant Logic VDS and ICS from Version 5.0 to Version 6.1 -Coordinate regression testing on all applications that bind to VDS -Port and regression test all ICS topologies Out of Scope -While the downstream applications should be shielded from this upgrade, any potential application changes required to support the new VDS or ICS system is out of scope of this project 3
