Managing Your Time and Priorities

In this unit, you will explore the importance of time and priority management that is necessary for your academic success. You are probably trying to figure out how your schoolwork will fit into your busy life. During this week, we will read about strategies to help you make the most of your time and resources. You will be able to use the tips in this unit right away to ensure that you spend your time effectively. Always maintain communication with your instructor and academic advisor.

Final Project & Who To Interview (Unit 4 Proposal) Daily & Weekly Priorities. Goal-setting & Planning SMART S - Specific (or Significant). M - Measurable (or Meaningful). A - Attainable (or Action-Oriented). R - Relevant (or Rewarding). T - Time-bound (or Trackable).

This week, you have been reading and discussing time management strategies. You were also introduced to your Final Project, wherein you will interview a professional. During this week's seminar, we will discuss how to set daily and weekly priorities. Be sure to bring any questions you have about the Final Project because it is likely that other students have the same questions. We will also discuss the SMART model of goal-setting and planning. How will you use this model in planning for this term, for next term, for next year, or for five years from now? Article: Personal Goal Setting
