Mexico Participants: Two full time researchers (ISAT). Three part time researchers (ISAT). Two MSc. students (epidemiology and environmental health at UNAM and INSP).
Mexico Activities: Epidemiological data collection: nine regions (3 states). Climatological data (temperature; relative humidity and precipitation). 56 time series of data on malaria, dengue (up 17 years) and climate variables. Findings: Preliminary analysis (vector control variables not included) show an association precipitation/malaria stronger than for temperature. Important outbreaks of dengue fever were observed during the ENSO.
