Multidisciplinary Scholars Program – NIH KL2 & COM K12 o Junior Faculty less than 10 years out of sub-specialty training o 75% effort dedicated to research for 2 years (optional 3 rd ) o NIH Program requires US citizenship or permanent residency, COM is open o Provides research project and training funds ($20-$25K) o Sample Benefits: K-to-R, Grant Writing Workshop, Individual Development Plan, Research Navigation, All SCTR consult services Core Clinical Research Training (CCRT) o 15 topics ~ 20 hours: research bootcamp o Offered online (24/7) and live (spring and fall) o Offers 1.35 CEU’s or 13.5 CME’s o Duration: Live lasts 2 weeks (8:30am-12:30pm), Online (8 weeks to complete) Early Career Investigator Training Programs
Research Vouchers o MUSC Faculty PI – one per year o Up to $1,000 for research services/supplies o Decision in 2 business days Pilot Projects o MUSC PI’s – must have multi-disciplinary collaborators o 3 Categories: High Innovation, High Reward ($10K); Translation Roadblocks ($25K), Discovery ($25K) o Terms: HIHR = 6 months, Roadblocks & Discovery = 12 months Technology Development Grants (Gap Funds) o Funds to continue development of reported inventions - $25K SCTR Funding Opportunities
