Project Objectives To develop an effective and efficient public transport communication system in Bahrain to attract maximum population with a high level operating quality standard and customer services Enhancement the communication system technology An effective and efficient public transport in Bahrain

main goal of ministry of transport is to develop an ambition of people plan to develop high quality transportation system network for the public use up to 2030 To increase the area coverage and will provide a great level of reliability and frequency bus riders

Technology plays a major role in public transport free environment from customers to buy a ticket for all journey need of high communication technology within the public transport system

Three main bus terminals which are Manama, Muharraq and Isa town terminal 11 bus routes that almost cover all cities in Bahrain Figure 1 Public buses’ routes in Bahrain (Public Bus Schedule and Route Information, 2014)

The future of public transport Exploring some technologies in order to improve the transport communication system for the customers is very essential in public transport

Ticketing Digital technologies are wireless and can be integrated with the stations to allow passengers to validate tickets when using public transport such RFID Multi touch system and Led lighting on the floor The system efficiency is connected with activated ticket sensor eliminating the passenger to swap their tickets
