Tying a Diamond on a Bight, with Double Grapevine balls on the ends.

The loop is on the back of your fingers.

This is called a Carrick Bend.

First line: goes around and past the loop, and up through the center.

Second line: goes around and past the loop, and up through the center.

Both lines go up through the center.

Turn it sideways, and form into a birds nest.

Pull all 4 lines to make the knot tight. Massage it and pull all lines even tighter.

Until it looks like this!

Now tie the knobs on the ends (the Double Grapevines).

Pull the knot tight.

Tie the second one.

Melt the ends. Don’t touch the hot melted rope, it will burn you!

The finished knot! bight diamond double grapevine

To make the zipper pull permanent, you can thread the rope through the zipper before you start tying the knot.

You can also cut the tails off to give the zipper pull a different look.
