29 March 2007Tools Report5 Liens for Release Sub-objects not allowed in an explicit FILE object –VTool does not allow sub-objects to be present in an explicit FILE object as a result of the FILE object definition currently specified in the PDS data dictionary. SCR addresses this issue. Checking for Label Padding –Validation of proper label padding has not been implemented yet due to a need for further clarification on this capability and its lack of priority.

Present Readiness for Release to MC (Mar 28-29, 2007) –Ask for permission from MC to go ahead with release. Prepare Release (Early Apr 2007) –Perform acceptance testing at the Engineering Node and prepare report. –Complete release documentation and prepare distribution package. Release (Apr 13, 2007) –Post distribution package to the PDS software download page. –JPL Software Authority has blessed distribution of binary and source to the PDS community including international. Phase II Design and Development –As prioritized at the F2F Tech Session.

Legacy Tools

29 March 2007Tools Report11 Status Currently preparing release 4.6 of the PDS Tools Package. Includes a number of fixes to LVTool and NASAView since the last release. Currently working on a NASAView issue reported by Mike A’Hearn. The release will come out shortly after the Validation Tool release.
