12/08/10 BR: A ziggurat was an important building in ancient Mesopotamia - Expand This statement Today: 5 Characteristics of Civilization – Putting the information together

What to do today Draft what you are going to write in your book. Take the information you have collected and expand it.

Example Mud bricks Most buildings in Mesopotamia were built of mud bricks. Most buildings in Mesopotamia were built of mud bricks. This was good because there was mud every where to use for building. It was bad because mud bricks weren’t as strong as stone and would break up if the got wet from floods. Not enough Better Best

Before you start writing in your book write down (draft) a practice copy, let me check it. Decide what type of picture might be good for each chapter. Decide how you are going to get that picture.
