Welcome 2012 Homecoming Liaisons! Thank you for all you do to keep the tradition of Homecoming alive Mission Statement The Mizzou Homecoming celebration actively seeks to engage and unify the Mizzou family by serving the community, cultivating spirit and preserving the traditions of our alma mater.

Example Sketch  Oct. 3, 7-8 p.m., :123 Reynolds Alumni Center: Open office hours to discuss float designs and material lists with Parade committee if interested. for additional appointment times.  Include as many details as possible on your sketch  If changes are made, contact the Parade committee.

 No outside help allowed  Prefabricated materials  The same prefabricated materials from Campus Decorations apply to Parade floats.  Any questions about prefabricated materials can be directed to the Parade Committee.  Float dimensions:  11” feet high (from the bed of the trailer to the top of the float)  12” feet wide  Trailer must not exceed a length of 24 feet

 Tiger Food Fight  Friday, October 12  Times for drop-off will be assigned  Campus Wide Food Drive  Greek pairings - need 800 cans  Residence Halls and Orgs- 200 cans  Orgs can request to have collection bins placed at a location

 Tigers Taming Hunger  Grocery Store/Community Food Drive  October 11-12, 14, 18-19, 21  Greek pairings- 4 volunteers for 4 2-hour shifts (16 shifts total)  Residence Halls and Orgs- 4 volunteers for 2 2-hour shifts (8 shifts total)

 Day of Service  Saturday, October 20  Community based day  Greek pairings- 10 volunteers  Residence Halls and Orgs- 5 volunteers  Sign-up forms available in the next few weeks

 If you would like help creating your banner, the craft studio is offering the services and supplies. To make an appointment go to:  Optional banner option on Farout Field  You must bring your banner with grommets on the four corners  Home Depot has a 12 pack for $3, Lowes also carries them  Greek grouping will hang their competition banner on October 21 st by 3pm  Residence Halls will hang their competition banner on October 18 th

 You will select your business for Decorate the District on October 4 th.  Proof of Contact must include an attached design for owner/manager.  This is due at the liaison meeting on October 11th  If you are in a Greek grouping a member from each chapter must be present while decorating, but it is not required to use all of the allotted time. Decorating will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Residence Halls:  Your competition banner will be hung the same day as the MIZ-BBQ  This is to be hung outside your residence hall  BBQ takes place on Thursday, Oct 18 this year  You can set up for BBQ area form 11:30am-4pm.  Part of judging focuses on the atmosphere of your BBQ, so decorate according to era you have selected!  Judging will begin at 4:30pm  Questions:

 IBA/National Anthem Forms due on Sept 27 th  These can be turned into 123 Reynolds starting on the 24 th !  IBA auditions will be held on September 30th  Taste Points  Flats  5’ x 10’  Song selection!!!

 Royalty Applications are due THIS Friday, September 14 by 5:00 p.m. in 123 Reynolds Alumni Center.  Each organization will receive one free application.  Additional applications cost $25, which is due along with the application.

✖ Checks can be made out to Mizzou Alumni Association and must be included upon turning in any application. ✖ No late applications will be accepted.  Please remind applicants that they can begin signing up for First Round Interviews starting on Monday, September 17 through Thursday, September 21.
