Preparedness  6 Mandatory requirements: 1) Tsunami protocols integrated with Community’s Initial/First Responder Training 2) Conduct bi-annual tsunami preparedness exercise 3) Designate/establish tsunami hazard areas, evacuation routes, and assembly areas 4) Signage identifying tsunami hazard areas is installed and maintained 5) Written, locally specific, tsunami safety and response materials are provided to citizens 6) Annual workshops conducted to inform citizens on local tsunami hazard and safety and response procedures

Response  5 Mandatory Requirements 1) Tsunami Hazard Addressed in Community Emergency Response Plan. including  Evacuation Plan  Warning Point or EOC Activation Criteria and Procedures 2) 24-Hour Warning Point or EOC capable of receiving TWC messages and disseminating local reports and advice 3) 2 Redundant and reliable methods for the community warning point or EOC to receive official tsunami warning center products 4) 2 methods for the community warning point or EOC to disseminate tsunami information to their public
