Lets get started
Chapter 1 1/16 th Scale
This is the 16 th scale
You can seen that between 0 and 1 there is 16 marks
Each mark = 1/16
Two marks = 2/16 or 1/8
Four marks = 4/16 or 1/4
Two marks = 6/16 or 3/8 Do you see the pattern yet?
Every time it is on the small line it will be a 16th
Every time it is on next biggest line it will be a 8th
The next biggest line will be a 4 th or a quarter
The line with the 16 under line is in the middle of zero and 1 this is = 8/16, or 1/2
Okay lets try a few
TRY AGAIN
Click the best answer: 1/8 1/2 3/16 3/4

Chapter 2 Adding fractions
Rule for adding fractions The bottom number must be the same Example: 3/4 + 1/4 or 7/16 + 5/16
How about we try a few.
Click the best answer: 3/4 1/2 1/8 3/16 2/4 +1/4=?
Awesome!!
Click the best answer: 3/8 1/4 1/8 3/16 1/8 +1/4=?
Excellent!!
Click the best answer: 5/8 1/2 5/16 3/16 1/4 +1/16=?
Nice!!
Click the best answer: 1/2 9/16 1/8 3/16 3/8 +3/16=?
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
Click the best answer: 3/4 1/2 1/8 3/16 3/8 +1/8=?
Congratulations !! You passed chapter 2
Chapter 3 Subtracting fractions
Rule for subtracting fractions The bottom number must be the same Example: 3/4 - 1/4 or 7/16 - 5/16
Lets try some.
Click the best answer: 3/4 1/4 1/8 1/16 2/4 -1/4=?
Excellent!!
Click the best answer: 3/4 1/4 1/8 3/8 5/8 -1/4=?

Awesome!!
Click the best answer: 7/16 5/8 3/8 5/16 15/16 -1/2=?
Congratulations !! You passed chapter 3
Chapter 4 Multiplying fractions
Rules for Multiplying fractions Multiply both top numbers Multiply both bottom numbers The bottom numbers do not have to be the same! Example: 1/2 X 1/4 = 1/8 1x1 = 1 2x4 = 8
Lets try some.
Click the best answer: 3/16 1/2 1/4 1/16 1/8 x1/2=?
Awesome!!
Click the best answer: 1/16 1/2 1/8 1/4 1/4 x1/2=?
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
Click the best answer: 3/16 10/16 5/8 5/16 5/8 x1/2=?
Excellent!!
Click the best answer: 3/16 3/8 3/4 3/2 3/4 x1/2=?
Nice!!
Click the best answer: 3/16 5/8 7/16 5/16 5/8 x 2/2=?
Congratulations !! You passed chapter 4
Chapter 5 Dividing fractions
Rules for Dividing fractions Flip the second fraction Multiply both top numbers Multiply both bottom numbers The bottom numbers do not have to be the same! Example: 1/2 divided by 1/4 = 2 1/4 becomes 4/1 1x4 = 4 2x1 = 2 So you get 4/2 which equals 2
Lets try some.
Click the best answer: 4 1/2 2 1/8 1/4 divided by 1/8=?
Awesome!!
Click the best answer: 4 1/2 2 1/8 1/4 divided by 1/16=?
Nice!!
Click the best answer: 4 1/2 2 1/8 1/2 divided by 1/8=?
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
Click the best answer: 4 1/2 2 1/8 1/8 divided by 1/4=?
Excellent!!
Click the best answer: 4 8 1/32 1/8 1/2 divided by 1/16=?
Congratulations !! You passed chapter 5
Chapter 6 Centering a Drawing
In This Chapter you will be creating a Basic drawing that will need to be centering on the design sheet by using the drafting tools. The drawing will be handed for review.
You will be handing in a drawing that looks like this
To get started you will need to get a few supply’s
You will be graded on: Accuracy of measurements Accuracy of centering the drawing Neatness The proper use of drafting tools
Supply’s You will need to get: A scale
Supply’s A Triangle
Supply’s Tape
Supply’s A pencil
Supply’s A drafting board
Supply’s And a sheet of the design paper (8 ½ by 11 paper with the boarder)
Supply’s You will use all these tool to create your drawing A pencil A scale A Triangle A drafting board Tape And a sheet of the design paper (8 ½ by 11 paper with the boarder)
Step 1 Tape your paper down so that it parallel with your boards parallel. It should look like below
Step 2 Find the center Draw a line From corner to corner. Draw lightly So it can be erased
Step 2 (cont.) Find the center Draw the other line From corner to corner. Draw lightly So it can be erased
Step 2 (cont.) Find the center The center is where these Lines cross
Step 3 Find the area needed Add up the top view length + side view width + the spacing in between
Step 3 (cont.) Find the area needed Add up the top view width + top view width + the spacing in between
Step 3 (cont.) The area is 10 ½ by 6 ½
Step 4 Find the center of our rectangle or area Length divided by 2 10 ½ divdded by 2 = 5 ¼ Width divided by 2 6 ½ divided by 2 = 3 ¼
Step 5 Measure rectangle area from center Draw the Rectangle Use measurements from step 4 Draw lightly So it can be erased 3 1/4 5 1/4
Step 6 Erase centering lines
Step 7 Lay out Front view & Side view Draw a horizontal line 1 ½ inches From bottom
Step 8 Lay out Front view & Top view Draw a Vertical line 1 ½ inches From left side
Step 9 Lay out Side view Draw a Vertical line 3 inches From right side
Step 10 Lay out Top view Draw a horizontal line 3 inches From top
Step 11 Erase all the extra lines
Step 12 Letter name in title block Hand in YOUR NAME
