Environment/Landscape The Tlingit tribe lived on the narrow mainland coast, islands, bays, and fjords of southeast Alaska to Washington State. The heavy rain creates a luxurious rainforest environment and a temperate climate. Where they live provides one of the richest maritime environments in the world. Dense evergreen forests are immediately behind the narrow beach in southwest Alaska. Snow-capped mountains, blue oceans, rushing rivers, and green forests.

Clothing-What kinds of materials did this tribe use for clothing? The Tlingit tribe wore carved marks, weapons and “ Chilikat ” robes. Some of the robes are fringed, fur-trimmed, and multicolored. Food The good thing about this tribe is that they had an endless supply of food. They got fish that came in from the ocean and then they had fruit and animals that where in the forests like deer and other big game.
