Founded in 1988 as Homeless Haven, Inc. Knows that hungry kids are not good students Operates Hot Meals & Homework, a project to help raise awareness of the problem – and a few grades Works with area restaurants, including Coastal Catering, HK on the Bay, and the Westminster- Canterbury retirement center in Virginia Beach
Serves kids four nights a week Meals are served to the entire family of kids being tutored Improves the academics of the children participating Provides a support system and a positive social environment Gave us a Wish List for a family in need
We met : at school in class and selected our charity at Hailey’s house and brainstormed ideas to make money at Bella’s house and made posters and signs at Gregory’s house to recruit customers at Gregory’s house and worked on our presentation to go to Target to deliver our gifts

There was plenty of work for everybody on our team
Neighborhood kids wanted to help rake Our families challenged us by matching what we earned on some jobs We received a company match We collected $550 And then we went to Target
We got to play Santa
It made us feel pretty good
