Area and Perimeter By: Julia Lopez

Perimeter of a Square The formula of a square to find the perimeter of a square is: S+S+S+S P= S+S+S+S P= P= 16

Area of a Square The formula of a square to find the area of a square is: B times H 4 A= B times H A= 4 times 4 A= 16 4

Perimeter of a Rectangle The formula for a rectangle to find the perimeter is : S+S+S+S P= S+S+S+S P= P= 24

Area of a Rectangle The formula to find the area of a rectangle is : B times H 5 8 A= B times H A= 8 times 5 A= 40

Perimeter of a Triangle The formula of a triangle to find the perimeter is : S+S+S P= S+S+S P= P= 16

Area of a Triangle The formula to find the area of a triangle is B times H divided by A= B times H divided by 2 A= 2 times 6 divided by 2 A= 6

Area of a Irregular Shape If you come across a shape that has two or more different shapes in it you would have to area of one shape then the next one First you would do the square. Then you would do the triangle. Then you would add them both up by there area. A= B times H A= B times H /2 A= 5 times 5 A= 5 times 2/2 A= 25 A= 5
