21 st Century Library

A new paradigm for teaching in the 21 st Century What we teach are inquiry processes How we teach it is in collaboration with content-area teachers

What does learning in the library look like? We teach students to become self- actualized independent learners aware of their cognitive processes, and to use that self-awareness to increase information efficacy.

It is this focus on meta-cognition that distinguishes our subject-area & standards. It is this focus on meta-cognition that distinguishes our subject-area & standards. It is also why we teach our subject in collaboration with other content-areas, and not as a stand-alone (skills in isolation) subject. It is also why we teach our subject in collaboration with other content-areas, and not as a stand-alone (skills in isolation) subject.
