Introduction The three careers I have chosen are -Photographer -Dentist -Lawyer

Duties for Photographer Photographers specialize in diverse fields such as commercial photography, event photography, portrait and wedding photography, Forensic photography, scientific photography and photojournalism. Photographers consult with client to understand requirements of particular assignments and decide on the type of camera, film, lighting and background accessories to be used. Photographers Test and maintain all equipment also use printers, film and paper processing or digital media Photographers have to determine picture composition, make technical adjustments to equipment and photograph the subject.

Education & Training To be a photographer you must have a college diploma with specialized training in photography. A bachelor’s degree in visual arts with a specialization in photography may also be desirable to employers. Photographers with experience may obtain to work without a formal education. These individuals may be hired as photographers if they have demonstrated technical competence by having extensive on-the-job training under the supervision of a photographer. For an example, some photographers with out a formal training have been successful in establishing and maintaining their own businesses. Photographers also have to be trained in creative and technical ability, as demonstrated by a portfolio or work, is essential. Experience in, or knowledge of computerized photography or digital imaging/editing is required.

Working Conditions Photographers may work in a studio; however, they also may be required to work at various locations, depending on the requirements of the photographic shoot such as weddings, outdoor settings, etc.. Some photojournalists may also be required to travel, as they may be assigned work in various locations either locally, nationally or internationally. The technical aspects of this occupation are usually undertaken in an office or laboratory setting. Laboratory and studio-based photographers usually work a standard 35- to 40-hour week, which may include working Saturdays. Self-employed or freelance photographers are often required to work evenings or on weekends and frequently work 50- to 60- hours per week. Time is spent processing images, finding new clients, book keeping, computer maintenance, office upkeep, etc. Photographers may choose from a wide variety of employment options, such as working at portrait studios or photo development labs or for magazines or newspapers, thereby influencing their place of work

Duties For Dentists Supervise dental group members Dentists also need to manage the business and financial aspects of the practice Examine patients' teeth, gums and jaws to diagnose disease, injury and decay Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments needed for the patient Dentists use a variety of equipment such as X-ray machines, drills, mouth mirrors and forceps Clean teeth, repair damaged teeth and oral tissues, and educate patients on oral hygiene techniques Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments needed for the patient Dentists use a variety of equipment such as X-ray machines, drills, mouth mirrors and forceps Dentists need to discuss and explain treatment options and plans to patients

Education & Training In dentistry a degree is required to work in this occupation. A Dental of Dental medicines degree is most common however a Dental of Surgery degree or Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree is sufficient to work in this occupation. To become a dental specialist further education beyond a dental medicine degree or dental surgery degree is required. Continuing education and professional development are required throughout the careers of dentists and dental specialists. This ensures that dentists are providing patients with modern forms of treatment and with proper advice in regard to their dental related problems and inquiries.

Working Conditions Dentists must be familiar with the use of a wide variety of equipment for various procedures. These professionals may experience neck and or back strain when performing long procedures. Dentists in private practice often have the flexibility to choose when and how many hours (full time or part time) they want to work. Dentists may be required to adjust hours to meet patients in needs. Dentists need to follow dental practice infection control protocols and procedures and wear masks, gloves and safety glasses to avoid transmission of infectious diseases. For safety precautions are also taken when using hazardous chemicals or equipment.
