Breeding Breeding is one of the biggest parts of the horse industry… it will determine the purity of the breed as well as the distinction from horses of other breeds. Breeding has become a passion of many horse owners. In order to be a successful breeder you must be very knowledgeable of the foundation bloodlines and what they have evolved. Horses as a breed will show change over years but will still represent the ideal of the breeds foundation bloodlines. Decisions must be made by the breeder which will effect not only his reputation but also the offspring which his mares will produce.
