Macrolide - MOA: blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. –Community-acquired pneumonia can be treated –Dose: Azithromycin –loading dose : 500 mg PO once, then 250 mg single daily dose –Adverse effects: Mild to moderate nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, flatulence, diarrhoea, cramping; angioedema, cholestatic jaundice; dizziness, headache, vertigo, somnolence; transient elevations of liver enzyme values.

Diuretics lower blood pressure by depleting the body of sodium and reducing blood Thiazide –MOA: inhibits sodium chloride transport in the early segment of DCT – appropriate for most patients with mild or moderate hypertension and normal renal and cardiac function –Dose: mg daily Adverse effect: –Hypokalemic metabolic alkalosis

Calcium Channel Blocker MOA: –relaxes peripheral and coronary vascular smooth muscle –produces coronary vasodilation by inhibiting the entry of Ca ions into the voltage-sensitive channels of the vascular smooth muscle and myocardium during depolarisation. –increases myocardial O2 delivery in patients with vasospastic angina. Dose: Adverse Effects:

Non - Pharmacologic Patient’s education –KASAMA NA JAN UNG SA DM (kasi di pa naman naddiagnose na may DM d b?) and PTB (di pa rin sigurado)
