Decision Making Process. Allie Nava Period 1. Mrs. Cuellar

The Dilemma! What to become in the future. I’m stuck between two things that I think would be great for me but not sure which path to take?

My Choices. Becoming a Police Officer Or becoming a Biology teacher

Police Officer Pro’s&&Con’s. Pro’s- ▫You get to work for the safety of others. ▫Provide a service for the people. ▫Putting criminals away. ▫Only need years of college. Con’s- ▫You work late hours. ▫Could be dangerous. ▫Have to sit in a car most of the time.

Biology Teacher Pro’s&&Con’s. Pro’s- ▫You get to leave around an early time, giving you some relax time. ▫Not tense. ▫You get the summer of like children do. Con’s- ▫You don’t know how the kids will act. ▫You would need 4 years of college. ▫Lots of lesson planning.

The One I Pick Is, I'm going with the choice to become a police officer. Mainly because I’ve always wanted to be one since I was younger. I still know that there will be the down parts about it but any job does as well. Also the whole two year college is a better choice for me.

How To Become One, Acting On It. After high school you must have some more education. Maybe an Associates or Bachelors degree. You can also take some criminal justice classes that will help you on the field. They teach you: ▫human behavior. ▫legal issues. Ect. Then you undergo some hard 6 month training.

Reviewing, After about two weeks I will sit and think about the decision I made and how it going to effect me in that point in my life. Review how it will effect my family. And reevaluate the pros and cons and see if I still feel the same.
