How did the Syrian Civil War start?  In the spring of 2011 civilians of Syria protested peacefully against thier president Assad.  Assad responded by using violence.  The Rebels gained access to weapons.  The Rebels started to fight for their freedom

Casualties

Population  The majority of the population struggles to afford the necessities.  Damascus which holds most of the population is affected greatly by the civil war.

Jihadists  Inidividuals who participate in jihad.  The Syrian Civil war formed many jihadists because of the groups that fought against Assad.  The Syrian Civil war formed ISIS which stands for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria  ISIS is a militant group which is also called Daesh.
