1.) abdicate To formally relinquish (give up) power.

2.) autonomy Self-government; self-determination

3.) Balance of Power: Distribution of power in which no single nation is able to dominate or interfere with others.

4.) bourgeoisie The middle class; the upper level of the Third Estate; wealthier city-dwellers such as lawyers, doctors and merchants

5.) Congress of Vienna an international conference that was called in order to remake Europe after the downfall of Napoleon I. Many territorial decisions had to be made in the conference that was held in Vienna, Austria, from September 1814 to June The main goal of the conference was to create a balance of power that would preserve the peace.
