Authoritarian Governments  Also known as totalitarian governments 1. Provides the LEAST citizen influence 2. Government has absolute or unlimited power 3. Citizens have no individual freedoms (controlled and censored)

Dictatorship ▬ Leader wears military uniforms and takes power through brutal force ▬ Elections, if held, are not conducted fairly (100% of popular vote)

Monarchy ▬ Leader is part of royal family and inherits power

Representative Democracy ▬ We vote FOR people who will make decisions for us. ▬ This is because the government would be TOO slow if everyone voted on everything ▬ Example: In 2012, the American public voted for Barack Obama as President.
