Contingency Planning Inter Agency Plans Covering document shared with NDMA / PDMA’s. Complete set of plans endorsed by Agency Heads and HC. Alignment activity started in the provinces (linkages with PDMA’s / Line Depts / DCO’s & sector leads facilitated by OCHA). NDMA / PDMA Plans Pre-monsoon workshops taking place (KP & Punjab completed, Sindh 7 th July, Baluchistan 14 th July). Chairman NDMA has requested OCHA to attend and to ensure invitation is extended to all sector focal points. Alignment / harmonisation of PDMA & Inter Agency plans started in KP & Punjab. 10

Contingency Planning: Next Steps Continue supporting sectors, NDMA, PDMA’s to develop consultative, harmonised plans to ensure collective preparedness for 2011 Monsoons. Review sector preparedness actions and ensure they are completed in line with plans. Finalise & gain approval for Rapid Needs Assessments (Survival Strategy Clusters) and support remaining sectors to finalise their more detailed assessments and gain approval. 11
