Design The purpose of the project was to design, build a roller coaster, then calculate the theoretical time the object should take to complete and compare it to the actual time. We first thought of using a marble and larger clear rubber hose with a base and dowels holding the hose. We realized the hose that the marble would fit through was too big to bend and manipulate the way we were planning, so we switched to a bb and smaller hose. In the end we have a base and top made of plywood, with the hose attached to the dowels using zip ties and thread.

Conclusion Our final project consist of loops, spirals, declines and of course, the pretzel shaped finish. During the design process we made three trips to Home Depot and two trips to Wal-Mart getting different tubing and objects, but once we got the right materials we built most of the project with in 4 hours or so. We did our final adjustments in class last Tuesday and got our time to 13.5 seconds consecutively.
