PRESURES THE BALL WHEN OTHER TEAM TRIES TO POSSESS IN THEIR HALF. PLAYS REBOUNDS FROM OUTSIDE SHOTS. PIVOT PLAYMAKER MUST BE A CONSTANT THREAT TO SHOOT FROM OUTSIDE DROPS TO DEFENDE THE PIVOT, CENTER CIRCLE ON DEF MUST OWN THE PIVOT MUST BE BOTH DEF AND MF. STAY COMPACT ON DEF PROVIDE WIDTH AND FORWARD RUNS ON OFFENSE. SHOOT FROM OUTSIDE

GK LD S1 S2 RD CD DEFENSE 4 Behind the ball ASAP The CD will ALWAYS stay home. LD/RD drop to defend ASAP. Stay compact and link with CD. Force other team to the outside and into the wall. Deny the center. S2, you must drop to the pivot and own it. DO NOT allow the other team to play through a playmaker in the pivot. S1 will patrol the other teams half. Pressure any attempt to play back and reset. Don’t allow the GK or CD to get into the attack. Immediately transition to offense and stretch the field. S2 PIVOT

GK LD S1 S2 RD CD OFFENSE GK must play further up the field. Come out quickly to cut thru balls and play the ball with your feet. Be prepared for the back pass, become an extra field player when restarting the attack. The CD will ALWAYS stay home. Act as a deep pivot and drop for the offense. LD/RD will move up the field to provide width and good penetrating runs. When we are holding possession we should have 4 players on their half. S1 provide depth, push up the field, make penetrating runs. Poach balls in the box and play rebounds. S2 try to act as playmaker, look to take good outside shots or beat your man off the dribble. Constant movement to act as pivot and keep the ball moving. PIVOT
